Job Description
Linux Systems Administrator responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Linux infrastructure for mission-critical applications. Collaborating with various stakeholders and developing automation tools.
Responsibilities:
- The Linux Systems Administrator designs, builds, and maintains robust Linux-based infrastructure and tools that support mission-critical applications.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
- Implement security best practices, including patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize system integration and deployment workflows.
- Architect, develop and deploy cloud-based solutions on the Azure platform.
- Provision virtual machines, integration runtimes, compute, and storage resources in the Azure and AWS platforms.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- Proficiency in Linux administration Red Hat Enterprice Linux (RHEL) and shell scripting
- Strong experience provisioning virtual machines, compute, and storage resources.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices
- Experience migrating on-premises applications, databases, and infrastructure to Azure.
