Job Description

Accounts receivable manager overseeing hospital billing teams for Med-Metrix. Managing collections, compliance, client reporting, staff performance, and healthcare-related operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee daily activities of the accounts receivable team
  • Manage accounts receivable operations, staff training, and client relationships
  • Monitor client inventory, timely and accurate account work, and collection goals
  • Coordinate follow-up activities and ensure equitable work assignments
  • Ensure quality and productivity standards are met and address performance gaps
  • Ensure supervisors conduct timely and accurate productivity and quality monitoring
  • Document and enforce client-specific policies and procedures
  • Monitor client AR and proactively address performance issues
  • Provide assistance and resolution to external and internal client inquiries
  • Prepare and maintain reports and logs
  • Assist with monthly client reporting
  • Monitor Smartfeed assignments in the MPower Workflow system and ensure appropriate account assignment
  • Escalate identified workflow issues to the Director, Vice President, and Customer Support
  • Review contract pricing and escalate issues to the director and contract management team
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare-related issues and regulations
  • Identify issues and work with the Vice President on resolution
  • Provide training, monitoring, feedback, and disciplinary action as necessary
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Monitor team attendance and PTO usage
  • Disable remote client access for terminated or transferred employees when applicable
  • Ensure direct reports are trained and compliant with Information Security and HIPAA policies
  • Limit PHI viewing to the minimum necessary and report security or HIPAA concerns to HIPAA Officers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a hospital business office setting or similar setting
  • Must be reliable, responsible, goal oriented and flexible
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must possess a smart-phone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes
  • Occasional travel to Med-Metrix locations and client sites
  • Ability to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress
  • Must comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Must use, protect, and disclose PHI only in accordance with HIPAA standards
