Job Description
Senior AR Clerk managing invoicing, reconciliations, and B2B collections. Supporting US small and medium-sized businesses through DCX’s global BPO talent services.
Responsibilities:
- Create and issue invoices to customers for goods and services rendered
- Receive and record customer payments through checks, credit cards, and electronic funds transfers
- Apply payments to customer accounts and ensure accurate allocation
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with customers to secure payments
- Match incoming payments with outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze accounts receivable aging reports
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve payment-related issues and ensure timely revenue recognition
- Develop and implement collection strategies to reduce overdue accounts and minimize bad debt
- Perform ad hoc tasks aligned with the responsibilities above
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Must have 4 to 6 years of Accounts Receivable and General Accounting experience or equivalent
- Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills
- Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours
- Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments
- Maintaining high accuracy in financial records and attention to detail in every aspect of the job
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus but not required
