Job Description
Medical Science Liaison advancing Lilly’s cardiometabolic medicines across Mexico. Translating evidence, engaging healthcare experts, and shaping Medical Affairs strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain expert command of evidence across diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, lipids, and Lilly’s cardiometabolic molecules and pipeline
- Translate clinical trial data, real-world evidence, HEOR outputs, and guideline updates into clear, balanced scientific narratives
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries with rigorous, non-promotional, evidence-based information
- Map, prioritize, and build partnerships with scientific and clinical experts across relevant specialties
- Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide scientific support at national congresses
- Engage public and private stakeholders in compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange
- Own the medical profile of the assigned territory, define engagement priorities, uncover care gaps, and capture actionable insights
- Support investigator-initiated trials, real-world evidence projects, and publications
- Partner with Access, HEOR, Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, and Compliance colleagues across the product lifecycle
- Uphold Lilly’s ethics culture and global standards
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in health sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc) with at least 2 years of clinical, research, industry, or Medical Affairs experience, OR bachelor’s degree in life sciences with 5+ years of relevant clinical, research, or pharmaceutical industry experience in a therapeutic area related to cardiometabolic care
- Fluent English and Spanish, able to present complex scientific data and manage rigorous Q&A in both languages
- Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific evidence clearly to diverse audiences
- Ability to build trusted multidisciplinary relationships and translate qualitative field interactions into strategic insights
- Digital fluency with CRM ecosystems (Veeva CRM), literature databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, UpToDate, ClinicalKey), virtual-engagement platforms (MS Teams), and insight/analytics dashboards
- Openness to AI-enabled internal tools
- Willing and able to travel approximately 50–60% nationally, including overnight
- Practical knowledge of COFEPRIS, CSG, and CNIS processes is helpful
- Hands-on involvement in real-world evidence projects, investigator-initiated trials, or peer-reviewed publications is helpful
- Experience with omnichannel and digital engagement is helpful
- Active participation in Mexican scientific societies is helpful
