Job Description
Payor contracting leader driving revenue and scalability for Wheel through innovative payer strategies and complex negotiations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging payer relationships for optimal terms.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and execute Wheel’s payer strategy
- Lead complex payer negotiations
- Design economically sound contract structures
- Ensure payer agreements align with care models and pricing strategy
- Build tools and reporting for payer performance visibility
- Partner with Legal and Finance to align contracts
- Translate clinical programs into reimbursable models
- Strengthen senior-level relationships across payers
Requirements:
- 8–10+ years in managed care contracting
- Leading negotiations with national and regional health plans
- Ability to secure competitive rates and structure agreements
- Established strategic payor relationships
- Understanding of reimbursement models and healthcare economics
- Aligning contracting strategy with financial models and operations
- Credible communication skills at executive and operator levels
- Comfortable in ambiguity and quick decision-making.
