Job Description

Payor contracting leader driving revenue and scalability for Wheel through innovative payer strategies and complex negotiations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging payer relationships for optimal terms.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and execute Wheel’s payer strategy
  • Lead complex payer negotiations
  • Design economically sound contract structures
  • Ensure payer agreements align with care models and pricing strategy
  • Build tools and reporting for payer performance visibility
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to align contracts
  • Translate clinical programs into reimbursable models
  • Strengthen senior-level relationships across payers

Requirements:

  • 8–10+ years in managed care contracting
  • Leading negotiations with national and regional health plans
  • Ability to secure competitive rates and structure agreements
  • Established strategic payor relationships
  • Understanding of reimbursement models and healthcare economics
  • Aligning contracting strategy with financial models and operations
  • Credible communication skills at executive and operator levels
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and quick decision-making.
