Job Description

Mobile QA Engineer at Kindgeek's fintech product ensuring quality across iOS and Android platforms. Owning QA processes and building documentation from scratch while collaborating with developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and building QA processes and documentation from scratch — the team currently relies on developers for testing, so you'll be the driving force for quality culture;
  • Creating risk-based test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, and test cases using best practices;
  • Running functional, regression, exploratory, upgrade, and smoke testing across multiple device configurations (real and virtual devices, various OS versions, locales, orientations);
  • Performing backend and integration testing using Postman, Swagger, and log inspection (Sentry, Firebase) to validate data integrity;
  • Monitoring and validating network traffic using Charles Proxy or Proxyman to compare API contracts and responses;
  • Filing detailed defect reports in Jira and collaborating with developers on triage and resolution;
  • Supporting release readiness sign-off, preparing test-run summaries, and contributing to go/no-go decisions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA overall;
  • 2–3 years of focused mobile QA experience on iOS and/or Android applications (native or cross-platform, e.g. Flutter);
  • A portfolio that demonstrates clear mobile-focused projects — candidates with purely mixed web+mobile experience will need to demonstrate deep mobile specialisation;
  • Strong knowledge of test documentation: test plans, traceability matrices, test cases, and checklists;
  • Proficiency in Charles Proxy or Proxyman for network traffic sniffing and API validation — this is mandatory;
  • Experience in API testing with Postman and ability to read Swagger/OpenAPI specs;
  • Hands-on experience with Firebase and Sentry for logging and monitoring;
  • Familiarity with GitLab workflows, including merge requests, pipelines, and CI/CD processes;
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration;
  • A process-oriented mindset with a drive to organise, document, and continuously improve QA practices.
  • Will be a plus: Experience in Fintech, Trading, Banking, or Payments domains;
  • Background in backend/API testing, especially with Python services;
  • Previous experience in a QA lead, management, or analyst role — anyone who has built QA processes or led quality initiatives.
