Job Description
Network Administrator designing and maintaining enterprise networks and managing network devices. Collaborating internally and externally to ensure optimal network performance.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, designing and implementing corporate networks, including LAN, WAN and WLAN.
- Configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches and access points.
- Monitoring and optimizing network performance, and identifying and resolving network issues.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers.
- Creating and updating network documentation and technical reports.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in planning, implementing and supporting enterprise networks.
- Solid knowledge of network technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs and subnetting.
- Experience configuring and managing network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper or HPE.
- Familiarity with network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and VLAN trunking.
- Knowledge of network security and experience with firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Good understanding of WLAN technology and experience configuring WLAN controllers.
- Analytical mindset and the ability to identify and resolve complex network problems.
