Job Description
Jr Network Engineer maintaining Cisco network infrastructure across Vestis’s 300+ remote sites and data centers. Supporting availability, security, disaster recovery, vendors, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Install, update, maintain, and secure networks and networking devices
- Learn skills and take advice from other Network Engineers
- Ensure maximum availability of networks and network resources for users and production applications
- Manage network resources supporting business processing requirements
- Provide support for network and business-critical application problems
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Application Engineers on disaster recovery strategies, network capabilities, and functions
- Ensure operational excellence, reliability, accessibility, security, and compliance with established SLAs/OLAs
- Support the company’s technological alignment efforts
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements
- Support internal communications about business improvements, processes, system upgrades, and enhancements
- Build and sustain relationships with Vestis functional areas
- Oversee vendor relationships for associated technologies, services, and solutions
- Deploy and ensure adherence to governance policies
- Complete compliance-related matters, including mandatory training and audit actions
- Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge in Network Engineering and Administration of network Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Network Devices
- Skilled and proficient in MS Office O365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Customer-centric service approach
- Ability to establish performance-based relationships with third-party vendors and technology providers
- Ability to set standards and measurements for IT processes
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages
- Collaboration and team-building skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills focused on root cause analysis and permanent solutions
- Attention to detail and quality of work products and communications
- Willingness to accept and implement coaching, suggestions, and guidance
- 0 to 3 years of experience in network engineering roles
- Bachelor's degree required
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Valid U.S. driver's license for rental cars when applicable
