Job Description
Network Engineering Manager providing operational leadership and technical expertise for network design and implementation supporting IT modernization for military bases worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership, oversight, and technical expertise for modernized network design and implementation
- Support the technical planning with the chief architect and implementation manager
- Develop and allocate a team of subordinate technical network engineers
- Support the procurement of network material
- Provide human and material resource inputs to the financial team
- Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) to coordinate base access, clearance, escorts, personnel and equipment
- Assist the PM with ensuring clear, consistent, timely and accurate communications with internal and external project stakeholders
- Provide input into network design and technical recommendations to program and operation teams
- Review project requirements and develop strategies for future work
Requirements:
- 8 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- Bachelor of Science (equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual teaming environment
- Thorough understanding of Wired, Wireless, and general IT functions
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, documents and governmental regulations
- Strong commitment to a team environment and the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Security+ CE or DoD 8140 equivalent
