Job Description

Engineering Manager leading technical excellence and modern engineering standards in a leading property valuation service. Collaborating on core systems while shaping the engineering mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & modernization: Designing, developing and scaling our core systems (C#/.NET, MS SQL) toward resilient, containerized services on Linux/Kubernetes.
  • Targeted reduction of internal technical complexity and strengthening of stability, resilience and maintainability.
  • Technical support for Product Managers in discovery and prioritization processes.
  • Expansion and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Increasing development velocity (time-to-market).
  • Establishing AI/LLM-supported development practices in day-to-day engineering.
  • Active knowledge building and responsibility for team-wide accessibility of knowledge.
  • Building structured, clear, and up-to-date process and system documentation.
  • Line management and coaching of developers.

Requirements:

  • Innovative drive and technological foresight.
  • Experience integrating new technologies and digital solutions to strengthen processes and competitiveness.
  • Solid understanding of the opportunities and limitations of AI in a corporate context.
  • Several years of experience in C#/.NET or comparable languages, and in technical leadership of developers.
  • Confident experience with scalable database systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and modern backend architectures.
  • Ideally experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ.
  • Practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
  • Routine with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated tests (unit and system tests).
  • High quality standards without a quick-fix mentality — pragmatic with a holistic product understanding.
  • Product-oriented working style and the ability to translate discovery outcomes into clear, structured technical solutions.
  • Open, clear and inspiring leadership — especially during periods of change.
  • English at least C1, German at least B2.

Benefits:

  • Events such as team events, a summer party and regular offsites to strengthen team cohesion and ensure cross-site exchange.
  • Our offices offer height-adjustable desks, exercise balls, free drinks & snacks, and more.
  • You can even bring your dog.
  • 30 days of vacation per year for full-time employees.
  • Internal special leave arrangements and the option for flexible leave.
  • Mobile/hybrid working according to company policy.
  • Comprehensive onboarding across various topics, a welcome event and an open-minded team.
  • Buddy support during the onboarding period.
  • Discounts in 300 online shops, workplace glasses, special conditions for a JobRad (company bicycle) and many more benefits.
