Job Description
Senior Engineering Manager leading a team of frontend engineers at Contentsquare. Driving technical decisions and collaborating with Product Managers and Designers in Spain.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, grow, and retain a team of frontend engineers, setting a high bar for technical quality and engineering craft
- Drive key technical decisions — from frontend architecture to cross-team dependencies — and roll up your sleeves when it matters
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape roadmaps, scope work, and deliver with confidence
- Establish and improve engineering processes that keep the team moving fast without accumulating unmanageable tech debt
- Collaborate effectively with engineering peers and stakeholders across EU and US timezones
- Hire and develop talent, building a team culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Represent your teams clearly upward and across the organization, surfacing risks and opportunities early
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in a professional setting
- Strong frontend engineering background with hands-on familiarity across the modern stack — React, Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and PostgreSQL
- Full-stack exposure sufficient to reason about system-level dependencies and collaborate effectively with backend and infrastructure teams
- Demonstrated ability to make and drive technical decisions — not just facilitate, but lead
- Proven experience partnering with Product Management and Design to deliver end-to-end features and products
- Based in France or Spain, with the ability to work comfortably across EU business hours
