Job Description

Network & Systems Security Analyst for a Utilities Company in a 1-year contract position. Requires certifications and 6 years of experience in IT security and network management.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity plans, and system support.
  • Problem solving involves basic troubleshooting following the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, making or calling for equipment repairs, and problem escalation.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and remedies server and network related problems and failures.
  • Installs and configures server and network related hardware/software which meet the company’s security standards.

Requirements:

  • Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY
  • Has obtained at least one associate and one senior level certification: (i.e. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • 6 years of related hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, Storage Area Networks, Cisco Networking
  • SolarWinds ITSM (IT Service Management) product experience which is a cloud-based IT service management platform designed to help organizations manage IT (and other departmental) services more efficiently. In specific they are looking for candidates with administrator-level experience in SolarWinds, including configuration, management, and system-level support, not just monitoring or end-user usage.
  • Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).
  • Certifications Preferred: CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA
