Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting Trillium Health Resources’ behavioral-health and disability services. Implementing treatment plans and helping North Carolina individuals build daily-living independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing occupational therapy interventions based on established treatment plans
  • Support individuals in developing and maintaining skills needed for daily living and functional independence
  • Assist with assessments and conduct observations under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist
  • Observe and report changes in functional status, progress, and response to interventions
  • Support training on adaptive techniques, equipment, and assistive devices
  • Document therapy activities, progress notes, and service delivery in accordance with established requirements

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy and four (4) years documented experience working with co-occurring physical health and behavioral health, physical health, or chronic condition populations; OR equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Fully licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must reside within Trillium’s Mid State or South Central Region in North Carolina
  • Must be able to travel to a Trillium office location and within catchment as required
  • Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment
  • Resume must include employer name, dates of service, average hours worked per week, and essential job duties
  • Resume must include education details, including degree type, date awarded, institution, and field of study
  • Resume must include licensure/certification information, if applicable
  • Preferred: Experience in all 3 areas above
