Job Description

Okta Support Engineer administering secure Okta ICAM solutions for Koniag Government Services. Supporting federal government identity systems, integrations, compliance, and escalated IAM issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of the Okta platform, including user lifecycle management, application integrations, and authentication policies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ICAM incidents, service requests, and problems while adhering to SLAs
  • Configure and maintain SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, and API Access Management
  • Integrate Okta with enterprise applications, directories, and third-party services using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC
  • Support user and application onboarding and offboarding
  • Monitor system health, review logs, and proactively address ICAM issues
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet federal standards, NIST guidelines, and Zero Trust principles
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
  • Participate in Okta change management, including planning, testing, and implementation
  • Support audits and compliance reviews with access reports and configuration documentation
  • Evaluate and implement Okta features aligned with mission requirements
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated IAM issues
  • Work with Koniag Government Services, an Alaska Native-owned provider of enterprise solutions, professional services, and operational management to federal government agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited college or university; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Okta or a comparable Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Relevant Okta certification(s) required (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Professional, or Okta Certified Consultant)
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Hands-on experience administering Okta, including SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, and Okta Workflows
  • Strong understanding of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • Experience integrating Okta with Active Directory (AD) and/or LDAP
  • Familiarity with ICAM frameworks and federal identity management standards, including NIST SP 800-63 and FICAM
  • Experience supporting users and applications in a ticketing/ITSM environment, such as ServiceNow or Jira
  • Ability to analyze and interpret system logs
  • Experience with MFA deployment and policy management
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Desired: Experience with SailPoint; federal government IT/ICAM experience; Okta Certified Consultant or Developer certification; PAM; DevSecOps and CI/CD; AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud IAM; Python or PowerShell; CyberArk or Ping Identity; PIV/CAC; ATO processes and SSPs; CISSP, Security+, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications
