Job Description

Outpatient CDI Outsourcing Manager leading outsourced outpatient documentation programs for Solventum, a healthcare innovation company. Overseeing vendors, compliance, performance, revenue objectives, and CDI staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end operational leadership for assigned outsourced outpatient CDI engagements, including supplemental and total outsource programs
  • Partner with Consulting Services to support revenue goals and client satisfaction
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for performance, quality, and vendor-related issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with contracted vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure operations meet or exceed quality, productivity, and turnaround-time targets
  • Monitor operational metrics, trends, and KPIs; identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for performance gaps or compliance concerns
  • Ensure adherence to ICD‑10‑CM/CPT guidelines, APC methodologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Directly lead and supervise assigned outpatient CDI staff
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback
  • Allocate work assignments, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Manage employee-related processes, including compensation input, performance reviews, and policy enforcement
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Address policy violations promptly and consistently
  • Promote quality, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university and seven years of experience in outpatient CDI management, OR High School Diploma/GED and twelve years of experience in outpatient CDI management
  • RHIA or CCS certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of outpatient CDI experience
  • Experience with ICD‑10‑CM/CPT and APC methodologies
  • Experience with clinical documentation improvement and revenue cycle workflows
  • Experience with quality-of-care measures, such as outpatient HEDIS and OQR
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
