Job Description

People Operations Associate managing and maintaining core HR systems at Vanta. Ensuring data integrity and supporting company-wide People programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our core HR systems (e.g., HRIS, performance platforms, onboarding tools, etc.). You’ll be the go-to expert on how our systems function and how to scale them with the company.
  • Own the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee data. Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards to surface insights for stakeholders across People, Finance, and other teams.
  • Identify manual processes and proactively build scalable solutions using automation and integrations across tools. Translate complex business needs into efficient, repeatable processes.
  • Support company-wide People programs (performance reviews, engagement surveys, onboarding, etc.) through effective systems design, setup, and documentation.
  • Ensure system configurations and data meet compliance requirements (e.g., I-9s, 401k audits, employment verifications). Lead audit data pulls and documentation support.
  • Serve as a resource to employees through our ticketing system — answering questions and resolving issues related to HR systems, data updates, and process flows with clarity and care.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in People Ops or similar (such as Recruiting Ops) at a high growth environment
  • Strong interest in HR systems, data, and operations, with prior experience working in HRIS or related systems (e.g., HiBob, Workday, Ashby, Culture Amp, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of data integrity
  • Ability to build scalable systems and automate repetitive processes using tools and integrations
  • Comfortable managing sensitive data with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills, operational rigor, and project management chops
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication — able to collaborate across teams
  • Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments is a plus
  • Proficiency with G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, and general aptitude for learning new software quickly
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans
  • 16 weeks fully-paid Parental Leave for all new parents
  • Health & wellness stipend
  • Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend
  • Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office
  • Family planning benefits
  • Matching 401(k) contribution with immediate vesting
  • Flexible PTO policy, plus 80 hours of Sick Time
  • 11 company-paid holidays
  • Virtual team building activities, lunch and learns, and other company-wide events!
