Job Description
Pharmacist reviewing medication safety, dosing, and contraindications for Mercor’s AI-training projects. Applying Lexidrug expertise to evaluate clinical conclusions and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm interaction, dosing, or contraindication findings against the patient's full medication list and chart
- Catch missed interactions, stale patient data, incorrect dose calculations, and monograph guidance superseded by newer Special Alerts
- Judge whether the full clinical picture, including active medications, current labs, and comorbidities, is accounted for
- Distinguish permitted treatments from appropriate choices for the specific patient
- Verify that correct clinical conclusions are carried through to updated orders, prescriber notification, chart or note documentation, and care-team communication
- Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems using pharmacy expertise
Requirements:
- Use UpToDate Lexidrug or Lexicomp regularly, weekly or more, in a current or recent role
- 2+ years of professional pharmacy experience
- Inpatient or hospital setting strongly preferred
- PharmD and active pharmacy license, or equivalent verification-heavy clinical experience
- Reflexive use of Interactions, Trissel's, and monograph sections
- Ability to identify missed interactions, stale dose calculations, and superseded guidance
- Strong working knowledge in at least 2–3 specialized areas, such as Trissel's IV Compatibility, pediatric or weight-based dosing, Beers Criteria, pregnancy and lactation risks, REMS and prescribing/access restrictions, therapeutic class comparison, or drug identification and patient education
- Comfort judging whether clinical findings were properly followed through into the chart, order, and care-team communication
- Prior data annotation, labeling, or AI evaluation experience is a plus
- Must not be an H1-B or STEM OPT candidate
