Job Description
Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaison supporting patient access and medication adherence for Valeris, a healthcare commercialization partner. Coordinating pharmacies, payers, patients, and providers while managing benefits, referrals, shipments, and escalations.
Responsibilities:
- Build trusted relationships with specialty pharmacies, patients, prescribers, and client stakeholders
- Serve as a central point of contact for specialty pharmacies and own related activities
- Ensure timely and accurate transfer of information with network pharmacies
- Perform follow-ups on referral status
- Bring escalated issues to resolution
- Communicate weekly with stakeholders and identify process improvement opportunities
- Perform post Benefits Investigation calls to payors, patients, or physicians explaining coverage options
- Manage client and HCP inquiries according to reporting and business rules
- Manage inbound calls from specialty pharmacy contacts
- Triage patients to internal or external resources
- Identify benefits and payer coverage using electronic tools and complete manual benefit investigations as needed
- Communicate plan benefit coverage, including prior authorization, appeals, tier exceptions, and formulary exclusions
- Follow up with payers and specialty pharmacies on submissions and outcomes
- Coordinate nurse teaching and nurse follow-up services
- Identify peer support resources for patients
- Track and follow up on product shipments through patient assistance or bridge programs
- Communicate needs for prior-authorization reverification or patient-assistance re-enrollment
- Report adverse events, product complaints, special situation reports, and medical inquiries according to SOPs and business rules
- Document all activities in the Valeris Lynk system
- Complete training deadlines and follow SOPs and corporate policies
- Perform additional assigned tasks or projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in arts and sciences, social work, public health administration, or related field strongly preferred, or equivalent experience required
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED required
- 3 years’ customer service, payer benefits, reimbursement, prior authorization, or healthcare industry experience preferred
- Ability to work any 8.5-hour shift between 8 am and 9 pm, Monday to Friday
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
- Detail oriented

- Flexibility to travel as needed preferred
- Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen is required
