Job Description
Remote CVS Health pharmacy technician handling prescription inquiries and customer care. Verifying medications, processing prescriptions, and escalating complex issues from Rhode Island.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls from customers, healthcare providers, and pharmacies regarding prescription-related inquiries
- Verify and validate prescription information, including dosage, medication names, and patient details
- Document customer concerns, complaints, and prescription-related issues
- Provide guidance regarding prescription refills, medication adherence, potential drug interactions, and general medication information
- Access and update customer records and prescription data using computer systems and software applications
- Communicate with healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and pharmacies to verify, authorize, and process prescriptions
- Escalate complex or urgent issues to pharmacists or supervisors
- Monitor, track, and analyze call center performance metrics, including call handling time, customer satisfaction, and quality standards
- Stay updated on industry regulations, medication trends, and new pharmaceutical products
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be a resident and Licensed Pharmacy Technician in one of: Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas or Vermont
- Candidate must obtain Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license (application and fee) upon hire
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Rhode Island or Massachusetts preferred
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
