Job Description

Pre-Sales Solutions Architect at HostPapa providing technical advisory and designing cloud solutions. Collaborating with sales and engineering to guide customer success in cloud adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales and Account teams during pre-sales to understand customer goals, challenges, and technical environments
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture discussions with customers
  • Present solution designs, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build and deliver compelling product demonstrations and manage Proof of Concepts (PoC) from scope definition to final validation during the sales cycle
  • Own the technical response for RFIs/RFPs and navigate complex security/compliance reviews
  • Lead the transition from Sales to Implementation, ensuring the post-sales team has a deep understanding of the customer’s technical environment
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures, solution blueprints, and best-practice documentation
  • Serve as the technical expert for the Onboarding team. You will step in to resolve complex architectural blockers or integration "edge cases" that arise during deployment
  • Stay current on cloud trends and emerging technologies to inform customer recommendations
  • Channel field insights back to Product and Engineering to influence the product roadmap
  • Support other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting roles within the SaaS/Cloud space
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern application architectures
  • Solid understanding of Identity and cloud security frameworks
  • Comfortable leading customer-facing technical conversations and presentations
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented solutions
  • Experience evaluating requirements and recommending architectural approaches rather than implementing every component
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across Sales, Product, and Engineering teams
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience using integration methodologies (REST API, JSON, scripting) is desirable
