Job Description

Pricing Analyst at Apex Companies supporting development of enterprise pricing model and strategy. Collaborating on pricing analyses and providing analytical support for deal evaluations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update pricing databases, inputs, and driver tables to ensure data accuracy
  • Conduct analyses to identify pricing trends, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement
  • Organize data to allow for win theme analysis, predictive pricing using historic pricing data, and overall updates to the pricing model
  • Support rollout and management of the pricing strategy by preparing pricing analyses, margin summaries, and variance reports for review
  • Expand model/tool to incorporate all Apex sub-practice areas
  • Track non-standard pricing requests and maintain records of deal approvals and outcomes
  • Help monitor adherence to pricing guardrails and identify deviations for escalation
  • Assist with the integration and training of newly acquired businesses and service lines into the enterprise pricing model
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking pricing performance, deal quality, discounting behavior, and margin attainment
  • Prepare recurring pricing KPI reports for Sales, Finance, Regional, and Executive Leadership teams
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to support pricing strategy updates or margin improvement initiatives
  • Assist in modeling the financial impact of price changes on win-loss percentage, revenue and profitability
  • Help interpret results and prepare summary insights for leadership presentations
  • Provide analytical support to Sales and Ops teams during proposal development
  • Research competitive benchmarks and market price trends to inform pricing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for price governance and commercial operations processes
  • Help document best practices and maintain the central pricing resource library
  • Partner with Finance to validate cost and margin inputs used in pricing models
  • Work with Operations to ensure project data feeds accurately into pricing and profitability reports
  • Collaborate with IT/Analytics to improve data automation, development and rollout of a web-based pricing tool, and dashboarding processes
  • Support Director of PMO in routine project reviews with as sold/as delivered data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or business analytics (professional services or project-based industries preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel required; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, DOMO, etc.) preferred
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and support decision-making with data.
