Job Description

Principal Product Analyst advancing analytics for Trellis's insurance marketplace. Owning product funnels, provider reporting, Looker dashboards, and trusted SQL-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Own product and partner analytics for Trellis's insurance marketplace
  • Analyze user behavior across the full marketplace funnel, from traffic acquisition and quoting through carrier placement and retention
  • Identify opportunities and quantify the impact of product changes
  • Create reusable analysis frameworks for colleagues
  • Partner with Provider Engineering to launch new monetization partners
  • Own provider data, including revenue, policy retention, and compensation structures
  • Develop and maintain Looker dashboards
  • Build partner-facing reporting used by executives and external partners
  • Root-cause anomalies and reconcile discrepancies from raw event data through the modeled analytics layer
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute tested SQL, metric definitions, and documentation to the LookML analytics codebase

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of analytics experience
  • 3+ years in product or marketplace analytics
  • Track record of proactive analysis delivering measurable impact
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including efficient, production-grade queries against large cloud data warehouses
  • Strong BI and dashboarding experience
  • Track record of building reporting used by executives and external partners
  • Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of unowned problems
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive internal alignment and manage external partner relationships
  • Experience with BigQuery, Looker, or dbt (preferred)
  • Experience in marketplace, ad tech, or insurtech environments (preferred)
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into analytics workflows (preferred)
  • Must complete a background check prior to starting employment
