Job Description
Process Analyst SME architecting business process re-engineering in finance and accounting. Supporting large-scale transformations with deep expertise in government accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary architect for business process re-engineering within the finance and accounting domain.
- Responsible for evaluating, designing, and optimizing end-to-end financial workflows.
- Leads the documentation of 'As-Is' workflows and the design of optimized 'To-Be' processes.
- Utilizes industry-standard tools to create detailed process maps, swimlane diagrams, and procedural narratives.
- Conducts exhaustive gap analyses between current state operations and future state requirements.
- Drives the modernization of financial workstreams, focusing on the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle.
- Acts as the functional bridge between business requirements and ERP configuration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in business process analysis, specifically within Finance and Accounting transformation projects.
- Proven track record working within government agencies or for large government contractors, with extensive knowledge of the regulatory landscape.
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of the Deltek Costpoint ERP environment and how it facilitates government-specific accounting.
- Deep functional understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as they apply to government contract cost accounting and reporting.
- Expert-level ability to translate complex business logic into clear, executable process maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
