Job Description
Program Manager coordinating frontier AI research at FutureSearch. Balancing strategy, deadlines, and stakeholder decisions for a team of research scientists.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the research of a small team of research scientists
- Rapidly make excellent judgment calls balancing research strategy, quality, deadlines, and stakeholder tradeoffs
- Decide when to start new research directions, wind down existing directions, or change deliverables
- Negotiate high-stakes decisions with stakeholders
- Work closely with the VP of Engineering, VP of Research, and CEO
Requirements:
- A strong technical background
- Experience delivering high-stakes research at high quality and under time pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- High tolerance for disagreement
- Proficiency in negotiation and compromise
- High empathy for those who disagree
- Track record of successful operation under great uncertainty and ambiguity
- High consciousness and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Great ambition in positively influencing the direction of frontier AI

- Required synchronous attendance during critical US–Europe overlap hours (~7–10am Pacific)
