Job Description
Program Manager leading the orchestration of transformational initiatives under Mitacs' Transformation Management Office. Focused on ensuring alignment and delivery across multiple corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the BGT portfolio to ensure organizational transformation initiatives are aligned with the organization’s priorities.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of organizational transformation programs: planning, execution, risk and issue management, dependency management, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and achievement of key program objectives.
- Work closely with transformation sponsors, workstream leads, and cross-functional teams to integrate multiple workstreams and create a coordinated roadmap to meet program objectives and ensure successful adoption.
- Manage vendor coordination and governance, including day-to-day relationship management with consulting partners.
- Provide regular written and verbal updates to senior leadership, workstream leads, and stakeholders on program progress, key performance indicators, and risks.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of program management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives or portfolios.
- At least five years of direct management experience supervising project managers or in a similar role.
- Program management (PgM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent.
- Scrum Master certification (Certified Scrum Master, CSM), SAFe certification, and Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, PMI-ACP).
- Expertise with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Planner, Jira, or other leading platforms.
- Experience managing portfolio budgets in excess of $10 million.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing external consulting partners (e.g., Big 4).
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required for this role.
