Job Description
Project Manager delivering TOMRA Food’s sensor-based sorting and post-harvest solutions across Australia. Coordinating customers, suppliers, teams, budgets, compliance, and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead successful delivery of complex customer projects across Australia
- Own the contract between TOMRA and customers
- Ensure project delivery within time, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction goals
- Oversee project processes, documentation, reporting, and timelines
- Develop project plans and resource requirements
- Lead project teams to deliver contracted outcomes
- Manage contract scope, variations, and project progress
- Communicate project plans, progress, and timing with customers
- Monitor milestones and document project tasks throughout the lifecycle
- Consult experts to manage compliance risks and engage third parties
- Manage cash flow and financial goals
- Document lessons learned and perform root cause analysis
- Implement corrective actions
- Deliver project handovers and compliance documentation
- Conduct project reviews evaluating risk, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Promote a “Safety First” culture
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, customer-facing projects from initiation through delivery
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders across customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams
- Strong project planning, risk management, budgeting, and project delivery expertise
- Experience in manufacturing, food processing, mining, construction, industrial equipment, engineering services, or similar industries
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and deliver outcomes in remote and dynamic operating environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial acumen and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines, manage ambiguity, and solve complex problems
- Ability to work in both an open office setting and on industrial customer worksites
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid passport
- Unrestricted driver's licence in the country of residence
- Ability to travel domestically up to 30%
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline is desirable but not essential
- Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are advantageous but not required
