Job Description
IT Project Manager II delivering complex, multi-platform technology projects for Robert Half. Coordinating teams, budgets, schedules, risks, and production implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project-oriented work efforts, report status, and ensure project stability
- Plan priorities impacting multiple projects
- Own end-to-end delivery for projects involving multiple issues and technology platforms
- Serve as project point of contact for communications, milestones, and review briefings
- Ensure effective transition into production and fulfillment of production acceptance readiness criteria
- Develop, update, and maintain project plans and documentation
- Organize meetings to support participation, progress, and proactive mitigation of risks and issues
- Lead project activities including analysis, design and development, testing, training, implementation, and post-implementation
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and mentor project team members
- Plan and direct schedules to complete projects on time and within budget
- Assess timeline impacts, minimize them, and control change
- Analyze issues and facilitate their resolution
- Manage stakeholders and team members to control project scope and identify, evaluate, communicate, and escalate issues
- Communicate project status within and across departments
- Define and implement communications mechanisms for team members and stakeholders at all levels
- Oversee team communications for effectiveness
- Track key milestones independently and adjust plans or resources as needed
- Report and communicate issues and risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in IT Project Management
- CaPM desired (or comparable PM certification)
- 7+ years’ IT experience, including 4+ years’ project management experience
- Budget management and project budget/actuals tracking
- Ability to assess project impact and determine whether projects can expand to address new ideas
- Ability to translate functional requirements into project plans independently
- Ability to implement all project phases effectively
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, risk management, issues management, and leadership
- Clear and accurate documentation skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organization and prioritization skills
- Intermediate experience using MS Project, Visio, and Excel
- Experience in an overall lead role with senior project-level management/direction-setting experience
- Decision-making, problem-analysis, and problem-solving experience in a project management role
- Matrix management skills
- Experience incorporating the software development life cycle into project plans
- General knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure environments
- Ability to maintain forward progress despite conflicting priorities and competition for resources
- Successful completion of a background check is required
