Job Description
Psychotherapist providing LGBTQ+, relationship, and sexuality-focused therapy through a New York group private practice. Managing individual, couples, family, and group therapy caseloads remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide phone consultations
- Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families
- Maintain a full-time caseload of approximately 28–30 clients, with 25 completed sessions per week considered full-time; smaller caseloads of 20–24 may be possible
- Maintain a part-time caseload of approximately 18 clients
- Maintain case notes, logs, and required documentation
- Provide group therapy as needed
- Write a blog four times per year optionally
- Participate in weekly or biweekly individual supervision and available weekly group clinical supervision
- Assist with creating and implementing G&STC workshops, training, and seminars
- Perform marketing tasks for self and G&STC as needed or desired
Requirements:
- Possess an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC and be licensed in New York
- Reside in NY or NJ
- Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC
- Education, training, and demonstrated success implementing modalities such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
- At least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
- At least 1 year of experience providing individual, couples, multiple-partner relationship, and/or family therapy
- At least 1 year of experience providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals
- At least 1 year of experience providing therapy for sexual-related issues, including sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexual pain, and compulsive sexual behaviors
- High competence with gender, sex, and sexuality, with expertise in relevant LGBTQ+, alternative sexuality, and sexual-related issues
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails promptly according to G&STC policies
- Applications must include both a cover letter and resume
- Therapists with their own private practices or working in another group practice will not be considered
