Job Description
Quality Engineer ensuring compliance with JLG’s quality standards and driving continuous improvement at Aertssen Operations. Conducting inspections, audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Aertssen’s assembly and PDI activities comply with JLG Quality Acceptance Criteria (QAC).
- Conduct inspections and audits at various process stages (incoming, in-process, and final).
- Approve final quality checks and authorize green tag release.
- Lead issue resolution for nonconformities and track Out-of-the-Box (OTB) performance.
- Verify adherence to JLG’s quality standards and certification processes.
- Maintain testing and inspection documentation (logbooks, compliance forms, certificates).
- Oversee end-of-line and stability testing for assembled machines.
- Perform process audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Lead quality improvement and problem-solving initiatives (8D, PDCA).
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supplier Quality to improve processes.
- Provide feedback and training on quality procedures where needed.
- Report quality performance, issues, and progress to the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly quality.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
- Willing to travel occasionally.
