Job Description
Regional manager overseeing fresh operations, merchandising execution, and profitability across BJ’s Wholesale Club locations. Developing club leaders and driving data-informed operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Sr Director of Perishables
- Oversee and drive execution and operational excellence across a network of clubs
- Maintain financial accountability for the clubs overseen
- Execute merchandising priorities, displays, sales initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product flows
- Maintain consistent standards in quality, ordering, training, and production
- Identify execution improvement opportunities and implement merchandising strategies for chain-wide consistency
- Analyze sales, profitability, merchandising effectiveness, and operational efficiency data
- Generate actionable insights, identify trends, and resolve operational challenges
- Develop Club Manager, Fresh Manager, and Meat Manager skills
- Establish communication with Perishables, CSC, Club Operations, and DC Operations teams
- Align product selection and offerings with merchandising segmentation strategy
- Drive training programs, compliance, and succession planning for Fresh operations
- Participate in new club openings and transfer perishable-area knowledge to club team members
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in BJ's IS, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Previous experience in perishable goods merchandising and operations is advantageous
