Job Description
RFID Practice Lead driving AbeTech’s RFID and IoT solutions growth, architecture, and delivery. Leading solution architects, sales support, vendor partnerships, and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage RFID Solution Architects
- Develop and maintain RFID practice standards, governance, documentation, and engagement processes
- Manage strategic relationships with RFID vendors and technology partners
- Own pricing strategy, discount guidelines, and profit margin management for RFID solutions
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Project Management, and Professional Services on opportunity qualification, solution design, delivery readiness, and implementation
- Champion RFID solutions and support sales enablement efforts
- Evaluate customer requirements and identify solution opportunities
- Conduct software and hardware demonstrations
- Develop business cases, estimates, surveys, and related documentation
- Recommend hardware, software, and overall solution architecture
- Develop project estimates, schedules, and resource plans with Project Management
- Evaluate emerging technologies and products from strategic partners
- Assess new solutions and market opportunities with Product Management
- Present new technologies and solution offerings to Product, Sales, and leadership teams
- Maintain design documentation, solution specifications, and configuration archives
- Support AbeTech-branded products and solution offerings
- Stay current on RFID, IoT, and related industry technologies and best practices
- Lead the RFID practice to deliver consistent technical and business results
- Increase organizational adoption of RFID and IoT solutions
- Support increasing the number of sales professionals actively selling RFID services by 30% over the course of the year
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in RFID solution architecture and IoT technologies
- Experience with RFID hardware, software, implementation methodologies, and vendor ecosystems
- Understanding of pricing strategies, solution profitability, and margin management
- Experience supporting technical sales and consultative solution design
- Ability to lead technical resources and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with BLE and UWB technologies preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial automation environments preferred
- Previous experience managing vendor relationships and strategic technology partnerships preferred
- Relevant RFID, IoT, or partner certifications preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 35%-50% of working time
- Completion of required training programs and certifications
- Maintenance of partner certifications and technical accreditations
