Job Description

Sales Director leading technical sales for Avantor's high-end laboratory design market by managing a sales team. Develop solutions and build customer relationships while driving innovation and improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our technical Sales Specialist team
  • Be a key stakeholder as we expand into the high-end laboratory design market
  • Understand customer initiatives and bring forward a solution using our capabilities
  • Position the Avantor brand as premier in the market
  • Lead a team of sales professionals
  • Build awareness for the high-end lab laboratory design market
  • Recruit, hire, train and build a solid team
  • Build pipeline and market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Advanced degree in Architecture, Business, Construction or similar preferred
  • 5+ years in laboratory design, laboratory construction, laboratory casework, biosafety or fume hood sales experience
  • Working understanding of the construction industry
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, CRMs, & PowerBI/Qliksense
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel 50%+ (customer sites, meetings, etc.)
