Job Description
Remote travel advisor booking cruises, resorts, and vacations for Leisure Life Travel. Building client relationships, marketing services, and generating commission-based travel sales.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with researching, planning, and booking cruises, resorts, vacation packages, hotels, tours, transportation, and other travel services
- Identify client needs, preferences, destination interests, budgets, travel styles, and expectations
- Research destinations and compare travel options, pricing, availability, supplier options, promotions, travel requirements, and vacation experiences
- Manage reservations from initial inquiry through completion of travel
- Monitor payment deadlines and maintain accurate reservation information
- Answer client questions and assist with reservation changes
- Communicate with clients before, during, and after the booking process
- Respond professionally to inquiries via phone, email, text, social media, and online platforms
- Maintain organized records of client communications, quotations, reservations, follow-up activity, booking details, payment deadlines, and outstanding requests
- Build long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business, referrals, future bookings, and client loyalty
- Develop new client relationships, follow up with leads, and maintain a pipeline of potential business
- Discuss travel options, recommend products, present upgrades, identify additional travel opportunities, and help clients plan future vacations
- Prospect, market services, retain clients, and generate travel sales
- Develop a professional presence and use Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital channels for relationship-based marketing
- Promote destinations, cruises, resorts, vacation packages, group travel, and other travel opportunities
- Attend company and industry training and learn approved supplier systems, booking platforms, reservation tools, and training resources
- Continue developing knowledge of destinations, travel products, promotions, booking procedures, industry updates, travel requirements, and supplier policies
- Manage time, work independently, follow up consistently, and take ownership of business development
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable internet access
- Ability to use online systems, supplier systems, reservation platforms, booking tools, training systems, and online communication platforms
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain consistent communication with clients
- Willingness to learn travel industry knowledge, sales, marketing, and reservation systems
- Willingness to complete company, supplier, destination, and industry training
- Professional, dependable, organized, coachable, and motivated
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, reservations, marketing, social media, business development, travel, or client relationship management is helpful/beneficial but not required
- Approximately 15 hours per week dedicated to developing and operating the travel business
- Must maintain accurate and organized client and reservation records
- Must handle confidential client information professionally
