Job Description
Sales Manager responsible for driving sales strategies at Manus, a biotechnology firm. Engaging with customers and developing applications of products in the food and flavor industries.
Responsibilities:
- Make customer contacts at, research, application development, supply chain, marketing levels.
- Develop applications of products and services effectively.
- Research customer needs and develop applications of products and services.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales effectively.
- Participate in sales forecasting, sales planning, and CRM.
- Participate in development of new products and modifications of existing products.
- Develop and maintain professional communications with all levels of staff and customers.
- Maintain databases relating to research data and project information in the CRM system.
- Provide technical support and maintain programs for information analysis.
- Engage in technical discussions and demonstrations with potential clients.
- Keep management informed of activity with timely preparation of reports.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with clients to implement improvements.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Food Science, technical or business discipline.
- Minimum of 7-10 years in a sales role in the flavor or food ingredient industries.
- Technical knowledge of sweetener formulation.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
- Organization and use of CRM database systems.
- Proficient in use of email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- In-depth knowledge of target market industries.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
