Job Description

Sales Manager responsible for distribution sales and brand awareness for Westbound & Down Brewing Co. Conducting events and managing accounts in the greater Denver area.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the sales within the front range and working with Elite Brands
  • Aim to hit an average of 40 account visits per week
  • Report directly to Head of Sales and focus on growing sales within distribution channel
  • Conduct various events such as beer festivals, tap takeovers, pint nights samplings/tastings, and more
  • Build valuable relationships with customers and distribution partners
  • Pursuing and adding new customers and business opportunities
  • Direct responsibility for key On and Off-Premise accounts
  • Increasing sales and securing new distribution in existing and new accounts
  • Working closely with distributor network in the assigned territory to maintain and develop all accounts
  • Complete necessary administrative reporting and communications on a timely basis

Requirements:

  • Mandatory two years + experience in brewery or distribution sales
  • Experience with out of state sales and distribution is a plus
  • Cicerone, or other beer certification strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of all Westbound & Down beers, other craft beers and the craft beer community
  • Strong oral and written communication - able to talk and write to others to convey information effectively
  • Strong persuasion skills - able to influence others decision making or persuading others to change their minds or behavior
  • Active listening skills - this is the key to all sales presentations, understanding your goals can only be achieved by listening to account needs and then filling those needs
  • Excellent time management - able to be proactive and take initiative
  • Excellent organization and coordination - able to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
  • Decision making skills - able to collect, assess, and interpret relevant information and make sound judgements
  • Negotiation skills - bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to occasionally deliver beer
  • Ideal candidate will live in the greater Denver area
