Job Description
Senior Sales Manager responsible for B2B customer acquisition in the DACH market, driving software and marketing solutions adoption. Fostering relationships and achieving sales targets in retail and SME sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive new customer acquisition (grocery retail/LEH & SMEs) – systematic, repeatable, data-driven
- Plan and conduct on-site appointments, develop opportunities, close deals
- Proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing (leasing/subscription) – ensuring a smooth handover/onboarding
- Build and maintain pipeline, forecasting and deal-closure planning
- Manage by clear activity and outcome KPIs (e.g., on-site visits/week, conversion rate)
- Maintain CRM daily, visit reports, documentation (transparency/reporting)
- Close collaboration with Marketing, Inside Sales and Operations (lead flow, campaigns, execution)
- Market feedback: use cases, objections, competitive insights → improve sales materials & pitch
Requirements:
- Several years of B2B sales experience (field sales); ideally in software / SaaS / digital services
- Proven track record in new customer acquisition & closing (end-to-end deal ownership)
- Confident in on-site meetings: needs assessment, value storytelling, objection handling, closing
- Experience in grocery/retail (store networks, regional decision-makers) and/or SME sales
- Experience with leasing and subscription models / pricing and contract negotiation
- Comfortable with KPI-driven sales: activity logic → conversion → revenue (e.g., success rate = orders / on-site visits)
- Hunter mentality plus a structured working style (route planning, pacing, disciplined follow-up)
- Clear communication style, strong reliability, a "get things done" attitude
- CRM as a standard tool, not a burden (transparency, controllability, learning curve)
