Job Description

Sales Specialist managing customer relationships and achieving commercial targets for organic ingredients company. Focused on customer specification requirements and sales execution with ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding customer specification requirements and that it is clearly communicated with the Trade team as well as the Quality Assurance team.
  • Responsible for achieving commercial targets with the designated customer base.
  • Selling through a full portfolio of ingredients to the existing customer base through relationship building, ingredient and market knowledge, and effective contract negotiations.
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of contract book execution (customer pulls against contracts)
  • Determine customer-specific pricing strategy where appropriate.
  • Managing accurate CRM system data in the ERP systems and offline databases
  • Setting up customers and vendors in the ERP system
  • Entry of sales contracts in the ERP system
  • Using ERP system to manage customer contract balances and review inventory positions.
  • Assuring optimal customer satisfaction
  • Help oversee customers receive required shipments and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Assure proactive follow-up on any complaints/claims received, and oversee timely response and resolution with customers. (incl. credit/debit/payment holds)
  • Overseeing credit limits of customers and assuring that released orders are sufficiently covered and assisting AR in collections when needed.

Requirements:

  • BS in Business Management, Marketing, International Trade, or Agriculture.
  • 3-5 years in commercial environment is preferred
  • Responsible for a portfolio of customers, working independently, interaction with customers has a direct impact on customer relationships.
  • Good knowledge of business processes related to own, discipline proactively anticipates developments
  • Tactical Works under general supervision are able to work without supervision for periods of time.
  • Notices bottlenecks, suggests solutions, and attunes with senior colleagues when needed.
  • Focus on supporting more than one commercial/production business processes
