Job Description
Cisco security technical leader advising CXOs and delivering complex multi-vendor architectures. Driving AI-powered SecOps, automation, and enterprise security innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Operate within the Adopt & Expand phases of the LAER model, ensuring successful solution adoption and identifying growth opportunities
- Lead strategic planning, design, and implementation of end-to-end security architectures
- Drive architectural convergence across security and broader Cisco technology domains
- Partner with senior IT leaders and CXOs to assess security lifecycles, threat landscapes, and regulatory drivers
- Shape technology roadmaps and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Integrate Cisco and non-Cisco security technologies across heterogeneous enterprise environments
- Ensure interoperability, resilience, and policy alignment
- Champion AI and automation across security operations to optimize workflows and enhance threat detection and response
- Develop reusable frameworks and intellectual capital
- Mentor project delivery teams
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Engineering to drive product enhancements
- Develop reusable assets and best practices that scale across engagements
- Develop vertical market expertise to align customer business needs with Cisco’s technical solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of related experience, Master’s + 6 years, PhD + 3 years, or equivalent relevant professional experience in cybersecurity/network security architecture and solution delivery
- Expert-level certification (e.g., CCIE Security) or equivalent industry credential
- Proven experience designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting complex enterprise security solutions
- Demonstrated ability to act as a consultative technical advisor to executive stakeholders (IT Directors, CXOs) and cross-functional teams
- In-depth expertise in industry security frameworks (e.g., CSF, NIST, ISO), threat modeling, and regulatory compliance standards
- Hands-on experience with security automation, AI SecOps tools, and modern threat detection/response platforms
- Current industry trend certifications (e.g., Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or advanced cybersecurity credentials)
- Demonstrated track record in developing reusable frameworks, compliance templates, or whitepapers/intellectual capital
- Broad architectural understanding across hybrid cloud, enterprise networking, and Cisco security portfolio integrations
- Prior experience presenting at major technical forums/conferences (e.g., Cisco Live, IETF) and mentoring technical talent
