Job Description

Sr Business Analyst for P&C insurance clients developing and documenting business requirements. Collaborating on product delivery and implementing enterprise web-based insurance processing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents business solutions for business problems and translates those solutions to technical personnel and sees those solutions through the delivery process.
  • Seeking a Business Analyst with experience in implementing business applications and following through.
  • Coordinates with the technical team during technical architecture design, development and delivery of product changes and enhancements.
  • Participates in business and technical requirements reviews and seeks to improve the application workflow for the betterment of our customers.
  • Responds to production issues in a timely manner and assists Strategic Outsource in their triage of production issues.
  • Provides business guidance and support to ensure the future viability of the InFOCUS application.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business or Computer Science preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Property and Casualty Insurance experience required with relation to Business Analyst scope of work.
  • Previous experience utilizing a core insurance application suite preferred.
  • Experience with SQL queries and related tools required; other scripting language
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodology, SCRUM, JIRA
  • Strong customer service-oriented approach yet be able to articulate and suggest other potential pathways of accomplishing objectives - never be afraid to ask, “what if”.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, juggle multiple priorities and function in an agile environment.
  • Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
