Job Description

Design and lead communications for a high profile Capita Public Service programme implementation. Establish confidence and support successful transition under stakeholder scrutiny.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own a comprehensive programme communications and engagement strategy covering implementation, transition, go‑live and live service phases.
  • Ensure communications activity supports programme delivery, assurance and risk management.
  • Set the strategic direction, tone and professional standards for communications across the programme.
  • Act as trusted communications adviser to programme leadership and senior Capita stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with senior Government stakeholders, including experienced client‑side communications leads.
  • Represent Capita credibly and confidently in high‑scrutiny environments.
  • Lead delivery of communications activity across: TUPE and workforce transition service integration and mobilisation phased onboarding of departments and arm’s‑length bodies complex service go‑lives external reputation, media and issues management

Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading communications for large-scale transformation, implementation or complex programmes.
  • Proven experience operating credibly with senior public-sector or regulated-environment stakeholders.
  • Track record of developing and delivering communications strategies in high-scrutiny environments.
  • Hands-on experience across implementation, transition and go-live phases.
  • Experience building or leading communications capability within a programme or change environment.
  • Desirable Experience working within or alongside formal change methodologies.
  • Central Government, shared services or large-scale service transformation experience.
  • Experience of TUPE, workforce transition or service migration communications.
