Job Description
Senior Controller leading and overseeing accounting operations across multiple business units in healthcare setting. Building accounting policies and mentoring the team to improve efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, consolidations, GAAP reporting) across our business units.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that meet GAAP, healthcare, and multiple business unit requirements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness across multiple business units.
- Lead consolidations, intercompany transactions, and cost allocations across multiple business units.
- Support ERP implementations and system upgrades to optimize workflows and enable scalable reporting.
- Ensure GAAP compliance and readiness for audits, regulatory reviews, and investor diligence.
- Build and mentor an accounting team with expertise in claims reconciliation, analytics revenue, and trust-banking operations.
- Serve as the accounting function’s primary leader, aligning financial operations with corporate strategy across all business units.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years leading multi-entity teams.
- Big 4 experience
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- Prior controller experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare networks and financial services preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 (rev rec), ASC 805 (acquisitions), and healthcare/trust compliance.
- Proven success scaling accounting operations in high-growth, regulated industries.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across healthcare, technology, and financial services.
