Job Description

Senior Data & AI-Engineer developing data-driven and AI solutions for healthcare markets. Collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to integrate advanced technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop concrete customer use cases for leveraging data- and AI-based IT solutions
  • Create practically implementable solution concepts — technical, functional, and architectural
  • Develop PoC, MVP, and production-ready applications on cloud and on-premise stacks
  • Apply modern LLM technologies: embeddings, re-ranking, prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval concepts and other methods where they increase customer value
  • Work closely with our architects, consultants and clients to integrate solutions into existing system landscapes
  • Contribute to the further development of our product lines (QI-Box, QI-Flow) and our standardized implementation process

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning or Data Engineering
  • Very good knowledge of Python and common ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Solid experience with LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings and evaluation methods
  • Confident handling of relational databases, SQL and vector databases
  • Experience building robust data pipelines and basic knowledge of MLOps
  • Experience working with structured data (e.g., time series) and unstructured data (texts, PDFs, documents)
  • Experience with cloud or on-premise environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of containerized deployments, API design and integrations
  • Structured and independent working style
  • Precise communication, team spirit and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics to customers in an understandable way
