Job Description
Senior finance leader building FP&A infrastructure for GeneDx’s genomics diagnostics business. Partnering with technology, lab operations, and corporate executives on planning and investment decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as finance business partner to Innovation & Technology and Lab Operations SVPs and their organizations
- Support R&D, Product Management, IT, COGS, and Capex investments
- Provide finance business partnership to Legal, HR, Finance, and Medical Affairs
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and in-year financial management
- Design and implement a monthly financial operating rhythm
- Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and own the financial narrative
- Prepare and partner on board-level financial decks presented by SVPs
- Identify and prioritize cost optimization opportunities and resource investment decisions
- Co-own the SIOP process with Supply Chain
- Build financial infrastructure, including models, templates, dashboards, and decision frameworks
- Lead, coach, and develop a growing finance team
Requirements:
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience
- Significant FP&A business partnership experience at the Director level or above
- Experience building financial operating infrastructure, including forecasting models, planning cycles, and business review cadences
- Proven track record of holding senior business leaders accountable to financial performance through structured operating rhythms
- Elite financial storytelling and executive presence
- Ability to translate complexity into clarity and credibility in a board room
- Player-coach leadership style
- Track record of driving decisions and business outcomes through finance
- Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, biotech, or healthcare (preferred)
- Exposure to technology or lab/operations financial models (preferred)
- Experience supporting functions through rapid scaling or transformation (preferred)
