Job Description
Senior Full-Stack Engineer building Ascertain’s AI automation platform for healthcare organizations. Shipping React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI features across the stack.
Responsibilities:
- Own product features end-to-end, from design through production
- Build user-facing experiences in React and TypeScript
- Design and ship backend services with Python and FastAPI
- Partner with product, design, and engineering peers to turn ambiguous problems into shipped software
- Participate in code reviews and help shape engineering practices
- Improve development processes, including testing, CI/CD, and observability
- Contribute across backend services, data infrastructure, and the web application powering the healthcare AI platform
Requirements:
- 5+ years of strong full-stack experience with Python (FastAPI or similar) and TypeScript with React
- Experience designing schemas and writing non-trivial SQL against relational databases
- PostgreSQL experience
- Working knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Redis, queueing systems, or other parts of a modern production stack
- Experience building and operating production systems in a cloud environment
- GCP experience
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal
- Background in ambiguous, early-stage environments with ownership and limited scaffolding
- Meaningful overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours during the workday
- Experience in regulated environments and a security-minded approach to design is nice to have
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform is nice to have
