Job Description
Sr. Fullstack Scala Engineer owning data-engine features, Scala APIs, and TypeScript UI changes. Devlane provides staff augmentation for fast-growing global clients.
Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve core features within the data engine from end to end
- Build heavily optimized server-side APIs in Scala
- Implement necessary frontend UI changes using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Work at the intersection of robust backend infrastructure and user-facing applications
- Provide staff augmentation services for fast-growing global clients through project work
Requirements:
- 5+ years building and shipping production software, with ownership of features end to end rather than a single layer
- 4 years of experience with Scala with a strong backend engineering and functional programming experience
- Experience working across TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Expertise in SQL and a working understanding of relational databases and query behavior
- Experience using AI tools across the development lifecycle including code generation, review, test authoring, issue investigation
