Job Description
Senior environmental professional delivering site assessment, remediation, and risk management services for HETI. Supporting clients, regulators, insurance claims, and multidisciplinary environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and business skills and contribute to advanced environmental solutions
- Manage consulting assignments and environmental projects
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on project status and outcomes
- Collaborate with environmental engineers, geologists, technicians, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals, permits, and closure documentation
- Prepare site investigation, risk assessment, remedial action, progress, and closure reports
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines
- Develop and implement remediation plans based on site investigations and risk assessments
- Design and oversee remediation strategies, including excavation, soil vapor extraction, groundwater treatment, and in-situ bioremediation
- Ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and permits during remediation
- Provide technical support for environmental or energy-related insurance claims
- Manage and conduct site investigations to identify contamination sources and evaluate risks
- Collect and analyze soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples
- Perform data interpretation, risk assessment, and modeling
- Implement quality control and assurance measures
- Conduct audits and reviews of project activities
- Identify and promptly address deviations or discrepancies in project execution
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in the environmental field
- Current PE or PG license
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years’ experience conducting site investigations, remediation, and third-party evaluations
- Solid understanding of environmental regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to contaminated site cleanup
- Excellent project management skills, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques and laboratory analysis methods
- Experience managing consulting assignments
- Proficiency in analysis and communication of information
- Proficiency in all facets of project management
- Experience providing technical support to insurance claims professionals for environmental or energy-related claims
- Understanding of insurance terminology and policy language
- Experience assessing the source and timing of pollution events
- Diverse environmental consulting experience
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Knowledge of standard protocols and regulations for environmental sample analysis
- Valid driver’s license
