Job Description
Senior Manager driving global sourcing strategies for Sobi, dedicated to rare diseases and innovative therapies. Leading sourcing decisions and cross-functional collaboration for supply network optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies that enable a resilient, cost-efficient, and sustainable supply network for Sobi’s clinical and commercial manufacturing
- Combine a strategic and commercial mindset to evaluate and optimize sourcing decisions throughout the product lifecycle — from development to commercialization and life-cycle management
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across Technical Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and other key stakeholders to negotiate and implement complex, high-value global contracts
- Design and maintain a strategic sourcing roadmap, ensuring alignment with Sobi’s business goals and long-term vision
- Contribute to due diligence efforts in business development projects, providing critical input on manufacturing and sourcing opportunities
- Anticipate market trends and assess supplier capabilities to deliver data-driven sourcing recommendations that strengthen Sobi’s competitive edge
- Lead business cases for Technical Operations projects, from financial approval through to contract execution, and continuously enhance sourcing processes and procurement policies to drive efficiency and innovation
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Chemistry, Science, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, in sourcing, procurement, or outsourced manufacturing
- Proven success negotiating fact-based complex, high-value global contracts in a multicultural setting
- Understanding of cGMP manufacturing and global regulatory standards
- Experience in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Strong financial and analytical acumen (COGS and cost structures)
- Expertise in global sourcing strategies and supplier performance management
- Exceptional commercial mindset and business judgment
