Job Description
Senior Java and Angular engineer building scalable microservices and backend systems for Accesa, a Romanian technology company. Developing event-driven applications, CI/CD deployments, and database integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications and microservices focused on performance and reliability
- Implement applications using clean-code, testing, and performance-optimization best practices
- Collaborate with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines
- Use event-driven architecture to build scalable, asynchronous, and decoupled systems
- Design and maintain efficient relational database integrations
- Participate in architectural discussions and perform code reviews
- Use AI code companions and intelligent development tools to improve productivity and code quality
- Mentor junior developers and foster collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java 8 or above
- Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem
- Strong proficiency with Angular 19
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices
- Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and working with databases
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven systems, and distributed systems
- Good understanding of Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated build and deployment
- Experience with Git and Agile development practices
- Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly by structuring effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of the final result
- Strong English communication skills
- German language skills are a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring Java applications
- Knowledge of security best practices in backend development
- Experience with Node.js, kf-theme, and material-ui
