Job Description
Linux Systems Specialist supporting clients by solving tech problems and maintaining Linux infrastructures. Collaborating with a growth-oriented team in remote work environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team and serve our growing customer base
- Solve technical problems and build relationships with customers
- Handle client requests and system alerts
- Conduct client system patching and health checks
- Perform deployments via Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Onboard new clients and create roadmaps for improving their infrastructure
- Time tracking for all hours worked
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of Networking
- Experience using various cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCloud, Digital Ocean)
- Debugging problems with Unix based operating systems and IP based networking
- Proficient in RHEL or Debian based linux distributions
- Good knowledge of debugging container based workloads
- Experience with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)
- Knowledge of Linux based hypervisor systems and related tooling (KVM, Xen/XCP-ng, Proxmox, etc.)
- Good scripting skills with Bash and Python
- 5+ years experience doing the items above
- 2-year technical diploma (CIS or CS) or greater
