Job Description
Senior Manager overseeing fleet operations to ensure effective animal relocation at ASPCA. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain vehicle compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with Procurement, Facilities, Fleet, and key internal and external vendors and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic oversight of the Animal Relocation fleet, ensuring proactive lifecycle management of all vehicles.
- Execute comprehensive asset and inventory management, overseeing appropriate equipment selection, procurement, and optimal stocking levels across all waystations/storage facilities and the Irving Park Warehouse.
- Ensure continuous availability and operational readiness of the fleet to facilitate humane transport of animals.
- Support direct reports through feedback conversations, career discussions, and performance evaluations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 6 years overall professional experience required
- 2 years’ professional experience in vehicle management and maintenance required; experience in fleet management strongly preferred
- Experience managing staff required
- Experience working within the field of animal welfare required; experience with companion animal relocation strongly preferred
- Experience with asset tracking and inventory control strongly preferred
- Experience with a cloud-based Fleet Management System (FMS), such as Fleetio, which is designed to centralize and automate the lifecycle of vehicles and equipment, preferred.
